Olympians Swim Challenge 2025-26: Member Information & Instructions
1. Purpose of the Swim Challenge
Welcome to the Olympians Swim Challenge! This annual event is a key component of our club's financial structure and a great opportunity for our swimmers to showcase their hard work. It is important for all members to understand that the Swim Challenge is directly linked to the mandatory annual Swim Challenge Assessment. This assessment is a fee charged upfront to all registered members upon registration to help cover essential club operational costs, such as staffing, pool time, and equipment. The Swim Challenge event provides members with the opportunity to offset this mandatory assessment by securing pledges from friends, family, and supporters. All fundraising and pledge management will be conducted through our Pool Queue club management platform.
2. Financial Structure: How It Works
- Mandatory Assessment: Upon registration, your account is charged the Swim Challenge Assessment fee corresponding to your swimmer's group.
- Fundraising to Offset: You then participate in the Swim Challenge pledge drive to raise funds. All money raised is applied directly to your account to pay down the assessed amount.
- Surplus Credit: If you raise more than your required assessment, 85% of the surplus funds will be applied as a credit to your member account. This credit can be used for future program, event, or competition fees. The Pool Queue platform will help manage and apply these surplus credits.
3. Swim Challenge Assessment Fees by Group
The mandatory assessment fees for the 2025-26 season are as follows:

Please note: Swimmers in the Winter Maintenance and Masters programs do not have a Swim Challenge Assessment.

6. Instructions for Members & Supporters
- Set Up Your Page: Each member will have a personal fundraising page on the Pool Queue platform.
- Share Your Goal: Share the link to your page with family and friends via email and social media. Explain that you are raising funds to offset your mandatory club assessment fee.
- Collect Pledges: Supporters can easily make their flat-rate donations directly online through your page.
- Track Your Progress: You can monitor your fundraising progress towards your assessment goal directly on your Pool Queue page.
Thank you for your participation and commitment to making Olympians Swimming a success!
7. A Note on Volunteer Counters
This event relies on the support of parent volunteers. On the day of the event, we will need several volunteer counters on the pool deck to ensure everything runs smoothly. Each counter will be assigned to a specific lane with a chair, clipboard, counting sheet, and pencil. Your role is to accurately record the laps completed by the swimmers in your assigned lane. Please note that the swimmers you are counting may not be your own child. This ensures an impartial and fair count for all participants. We truly appreciate your help—your support makes events like this possible!
