Championship Recap: Record Performances Across All Age Groups
It was an outstanding week of racing, with swimmers across all age groups delivering exceptional performances and setting a high standard in both individual and relay events.
Girls 13–14
The girls 13–14 group was led by a dominant showing from Sophie Smith, who swept the backstroke events. She captured the 50 back in 28.69, followed by victories in the 100 back (1:00.76) and 200 back (2:12.64), showcasing her consistency and strength across all distances.
The relay teams also delivered strong results. Abigail Cockell, Quinn Tarampi, Sophie Smith, and Maeve Bergholz combined for a 4:04.82 finish in the 400 free relay. In the 400 medley relay, Sophie Carter, Quinn Tarampi, Biying Chen, and Sophie Smith posted a time of 4:24.46.
Boys 13–14
Mark Aistov led the charge for the boys, putting together an impressive multi-event performance. He won the 200 free (1:54.62), 50 back (26.58), 50 fly (25.09), and 100 fly (54.55), establishing himself as one of the top performers of the meet.
The relay teams followed suit with strong swims. Aistov teamed up with Jaden Gu, Lansen Cammer, and Jivone Okindo to win the 200 free relay (1:41.40). The 400 free relay squad of Aistov, Gu, Benjamin Chen, and Cammer clocked 3:41.61, while the 400 medley relay team of Oliver MacPherson, Aistov, Cammer, and Okindo finished in 4:06.92.
Girls 15–17
Kaede Takai delivered a standout performance, winning the 50 free in 25.30 and playing a key role across all relay events. Alongside Carolyne Jia, Kayla Thai, and Vivienne Lin, she helped secure victories in both the 200 free relay (1:43.19) and 400 free relay (3:46.45).
The medley relay teams were equally strong. Carolyne Jia, Maiysa Montakhab, Kaede Takai, and Emma Croston posted a 1:53.79 in the 200 medley relay, while Shae Murtha, Jia, Takai, and Croston recorded a 4:10.33 in the 400 medley relay.
Boys 15–17
Adanuriel Rosal Brito led the sprint and middle-distance freestyle events with wins in the 50 free (23.09), 100 free (50.12), 200 free (1:47.88), and 400 free (3:50.94), showcasing his range and dominance.
Distance standout Allen Wu claimed the 800 free (8:03.20) and 1500 free (15:28.32), while Minhyuk Park excelled in butterfly, winning the 50 fly (24.84) and 100 fly (53.28).
Relay teams continued the momentum. Park, Joad Wood, Joshua Kim, and Rosal Brito won the 200 free relay (1:33.75), while Alexandru Velicico, Park, Kim, and Rosal Brito took the 400 free relay in 3:24.60. The medley relay teams also impressed, with Velicico, Park, Ben Buchholz, and Rosal Brito winning both the 200 medley relay (1:45.16) and 400 medley relay (3:45.67).
Open Girls
In the open category, Kaede Takai once again led the way with her 50 free victory (25.30). The relay teams mirrored the success seen in the 15–17 category, with Jia, Thai, Lin, and Takai winning the 200 free relay (1:43.19) and 400 free relay (3:46.45).
The medley relay teams remained consistent, with Jia, Montakhab, Takai, and Croston finishing the 200 medley relay in 1:53.79, and Murtha, Jia, Takai, and Croston recording 4:10.33 in the 400 medley relay.
Open Boys
The open boys category featured strong performances across sprint, distance, and relay events. Luke Stewart-Beinder claimed the 50 free (22.02) and 50 fly (24.06), while Sander Crooijmans dominated the distance freestyle events, winning the 800 free (7:45.80) and 1500 free (15:06.18), along with the 200 free (1:47.23).
Justin Jung secured the 200 breast (2:08.03), and Minhyuk Park added another win in the 100 fly (53.28).
Relay teams capped off the meet in style. Stewart-Beinder, Jung, Fernando Lu, and Crooijmans combined for a 1:31.66 in the 200 free relay, while Stewart-Beinder, Jung, Matteo Savigni, and Crooijmans posted a 3:19.94 in the 400 free relay. The same core group delivered in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:40.86.
