Fernando Lu Named to Team Canada for 2026 Commonwealth Games
Olympians Swimming is proud to announce that Fernando Lu has been named to Team Canada’s Paralympic Program swim team for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Fernando secured his spot through the Commonwealth Games ranking system and will compete alongside some of Canada’s top Paralympic swimmers this summer.
The 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place from July 23 to August 2 in Glasgow, with Fernando racing July 24–29 at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre as part of Team Canada’s integrated Olympic and Paralympic swim team.
Fernando’s selection is a reflection of years of hard work, resilience, and dedication in and out of the pool. His commitment to training and competition has made him a leader within our program, and we are incredibly proud to see him represent Olympians Swimming, Burnaby, and Canada on the international stage.
