Mental Performance - Mindset Session for Swimmers
We will be hosting a Mental Skills session for our swimmers delivered by Gavin Bains
Gavin is a mental performance & mindset coach who works with athletes to build self-awareness, clarity, and the habits required to perform consistently. His approach focuses on helping athletes understand how they think, respond, and show up in both training and competition.
Gavin will deliver a practical, age-appropriate session focused on mental performance for swimmers. The session will centre around building awareness, understanding how athletes think and respond under pressure, and developing habits that support consistent performance.
From a high-performance perspective, developing mental skills is one of the biggest opportunities we have as a club. When swimmers better understand themselves — how they think, react, and prepare — they become more consistent, more confident, and better able to perform when it matters most. Gavin Bains will introduce practical strategies and approaches athletes can begin applying in their training, racing, and daily life.
